Ubaldo and Maria Isabel Torres began with the definition of humble beginnings. Both immigrated from Mexico with very little education and little
to no money.
Today they are proud US Citizens and successful business owners with a lifetime of loyal and dedicated customers. It all started for them in 1991
with a beaten strapped down ladder on top of an even more dismal old Chevette on its last leg. Ubaldo with his hard work and determination, began earning his reputation and in Cleburne, word traveled fast. One roof led to another and soon putting food on the table for them became easier and easier.
Maria Isabel was known as the lady who could carry multiple bundles of shingles faster than anyone else in town. She isn’t allowed to climb roofs anymore, but trust me, she’d still be up there if we let her!
They teamed up with their oldest daughter, Mary and son-in- law Kevin in 2009 in order to continue to grow and eventually fully retire one day. Strong family roots, hard work, and dedication to excellence are the glue that keeps this family strong.
Their children are now grown with one son in Austin, one in Fresno, California, and three daughters in Cleburne. Grandchildren now occupy their time, and fishing and cooking out are always on the agenda. Mr. and Mrs. Torres have a vacation home nestled in the mountains of Ubaldo’s hometown in Mexico. That’s where they love to spend time when not working.
They owe their gratitude to those first customers for giving them a chance all those years ago. They often still visit those whom are more than just clients, they are family!!
